Keeping good oral health practices.

 Oral health is very crucial because mouth is the major gateway to our body. We consume food that nourish our body through the mouth. The medications we take sometimes must pass through the mouth to our body. The state of our mouth actually dictate how we will be perceived in the society. It dictate our moods. A person with mouth odour lose the confidence to communicate in public thereby affecting self esteem.

How then can we take care of our mouth.

1. Brushing twice daily: Brushing of your mouth must be done in the night after the consumption of the dinner and you are sure you are ready to go to bed. In the morning after you eat your breakfast,you should also brush your mouth. You are to brush your mouth using medium texture toothbrush and fluoride containing toothpaste. Don't forget to brush your tongue during toothbrushing,it is very important. You should also learn the proper way of brushing techniques. Never in any case use hard toothbrush because it destroy your gum and exposed your teeth.

2. Regular visits to the Dentist : You are expected to visit the dentist for your oral check-up at least twice in a year. This is also important as the first point. Regular visits to the dental clinic helps to prevent some oral health diseases and also help to arrest the ones that have already started on time to prevent toothache and loss of your teeth. It is a more reliable way to have a healthy teeth .

3. Floss your teeth: Flossing of your teeth should be done at Least once daily using dental floss which can be purchased at supermarket near you. You are also expected to know the appropriate way of using this dental floss. It helps you remove any debris in-between your teeth. Stop using toothpick,it damages your gum and also pains.
